First attested in the Samgang haengsildo (三綱行實圖 / 삼강행실도), 1511, as Middle Korean 믈리티다 (Yale: mullithita). Equivalent to 무르— (mureu-) + —이— (-i-) + 치— (chi-) + —다 (-da).
