네덕
Korean
Etymology
Short for 네이버 (neibeo, “Naver”, major South Korean search engine and platform) + 덕후 (deokhu, “otaku, fan”), originally because these people were most common on general-purpose Naver blogs, forums, etc., rather than on more dedicated platforms.
Pronunciation
- (SK Standard/Seoul) IPA(key): [ne̞dʌ̹k̚]
- Phonetic hangul: [네덕]
