From ꯂꯤ (lee, cane) + ꯔꯨꯡ (roong, frame), the first element of which is from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *d/s-ləy. Cognate with S'gaw Karen ချံၣ် (khleè, bow), Naxi leemei (longbow), Jingpho kung-li (bow), Limbu li.
