Etymology
From ꯂꯤ (lee, “cane”) + ꯔꯨꯡ (roong, “frame”), the first element of which is from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *d/s-ləy. Cognate with S'gaw Karen ချံၣ် (khleè, “bow”), Naxi leemei (“longbow”), Jingpho kung-li (“bow”), Limbu li.
