     劇場(テアトロ)の中(なか)のまるい広場(ひろば)には、緑(みどり)の草(くさ)の毛氈(もうせん)の中(なか)に真紅(しんく)の虞美人草(ぐびじんそう)が咲(さ)き乱(みだ)れて、かよわい花弁(はなびら)がわずかな風(かぜ)にふるえていた。

     Teatoro no naka no marui hiroba ni wa, midori no kusa no mōsen no naka ni shinku no gubijinsō ga sakimidarete, kayowai hanabira ga wazuka na kaze ni furuete ita.

     In the round open area of the theater, deep crimson field poppies bloomed profusely on a carpet of green grass, and their delicate petals trembled in the slightest wind.

As with many terms that name organisms, this term is often spelled in katakana, especially in biological contexts (where katakana is customary), as グビジンソウ.
