     日(に)本(ほん)のいわゆる握(にぎ)り鋏(ばさみ)は左(さ)右(ゆう)どちらの手(て)でも使(つか)えますが、西(せい)洋(よう)鋏(はさみ)ではそうはいきません。

     Nihon no iwayuru nigiribasami wa sayū dochira no te de mo tsukaemasu ga, seiyō hasami de wa sō wa ikimasen.

     Japan’s so-called nigiribasami scissors can be used with either left or right hand, but this is not the case for western-style scissors.
