Etymology
From Thai ขบวร (kà-buuan) ~ กระบวน (grà-buuan), itself from Angkorian Old Khmer khpvar (“drawing, sketch, plan”), itself an infixed form of Old Khmer gvar (“to draw”). Compare modern Khmer reflexes ក្បូរ (kbou, “decoration”), គូរ (kuu, “to draw”).[1]
