ჰაერი

Georgian

Etymology

From late Old Georgian ჰაერი (haeri), from earlier form აერი (aeri), from Ancient Greek ἀήρ (aḗr). The form ჰაერი (haeri) is thought to be a contamination of აერი (aeri) by ჰავაჲ (havay, air; climate). Doublet of აირი (airi).
