Usage notes

When it is solely used with a consonant, it produces /ɯː/. If there is no final consonant, (ɔɔ) must be put in place. It is also used as a vowel component to produce other sounds as follows:

  • เ◌ือ becomes /ɯa̯/.
  • เ◌ือะ becomes /ɯa̯ʔ/.
