กระจับปี่
Thai
Etymology
Borrowed from Javanese kecapi, kacapi. Compare Indonesian kecapi, Sundanese kacapi, Maguindanaon kutiyapi, Maranao kotyapi, Subanon kotapi, Bukidnon kudyapi, and Palawan kusyapi. Ultimately from Sanskrit कच्छपी (kacchapī), a kind of lute (so named because it is similar in shape to the tortoise; compare तेस्तुदो (testudo)).
