Inherited from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀲𑀼𑀓𑁆𑀔 (sukkha), from Sanskrit শুষ্ক (śuṣka). Doublet of শুষ্ক (śuśko), শুঁটকি (śũṭki), শুষা (śuśa), শোষণ (śōśon), and খুশকি (khuśoki).
