Etymology
Inherited from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀓𑀘𑁆𑀙𑀸 (kacchā), from Sanskrit कक्ष्या (kakṣyā, “loincloth”), from कक्ष (kakṣa, “groin, armpit”). Cognate with Hindi कच्छा (kacchā). Doublet of কাছ (kach, “proximity, vicinity”).
