Cognate with Punjabi ਚਾਂਦੀ (cāndī) / چاندی (cāndī), Gujarati ચાંદી (cā̃dī), Marathi चांदी (cāndī), Sindhi چانديِ / चांदी, Bengali চাঁদি (cãdi).
