Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀉𑀘𑁆𑀘 (ucca), from Sanskrit उच्च (ucca). Doublet of उच्च (ucc), a tatsama. Cognate with Punjabi ਉੱਚ (ucca) / اُچّ (ucc), Gujarati ઉંચું (uñcũ), Marathi उंच (uñca), Bengali উঁচু (ũcu), Dhivehi އުސް (us).
