Etymology
Inherited from Proto-Indo-Aryan *HaHā́ȷ́Ha, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *HaHā́ȷ́Ha, from Proto-Indo-European *h₁e-h₁óǵ-h₂e. Cognate with Ancient Greek ἄνωγα (ánōga) and Latin āiō.
