Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀏𑀕𑀸𑀭𑀲 (egārasa), from Sanskrit एकादश (ékādaśa), from एक (éka) + दश (dáśa). Cognate with Konkani इक्रा (ikrā), Hindi ग्यारह (gyārah).
