Borrowed from Prakrit 𑀙𑀯𑁆𑀯𑀻𑀲𑀁 (chavvīsaṃ), from Sanskrit षड्विंशति (ṣaḍviṃśati). Cognate with Sinhalese සවිස්ස (sawissa).
