ܛܵܦܹܐ • (ṭāpē) (present participle ܛܦܵܝܵܐ (ṭpāyā), past participle ܛܸܦܝܵܐ (ṭipyā))

1. (intransitive) to be/become kindled; to be ignited

   ܘܲܪܩܵܐ ܛܦܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܒܵܬ݇ܪ ܕܝܼܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܩܘܼܪܒܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܦܘܼܢܕܵܐ. ― warqā ṭpē lēh bār d-īwā qurbā min pundā. ― The paper caught on fire after sitting too close to the candle.
