Akin to Middle Iranian borrowings: Old Armenian նիշտր (ništr), նշտրակ (nštrak), and Classical Syriac ܐܫܬܪܟܐ (/⁠ˀštrkˀ⁠/) to be emended to ܢܫܬܪܟܐ* (/⁠*nštrkˀ⁠/).
