Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀡𑀺𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀸𑀮𑁂𑀤𑀺 (ṇikkāledi), from Sanskrit निष्कालयति (niṣkālayati). Compare Sindhi نِڪارَڻُ / निकारणु, Nepali निकाल्नु (nikālnu), Marathi निखळणे (nikhaḷṇe).[1]
