Derived from Arabic نَاْغَشَ (nāḡaša, “to play, to flirt, to banter, to tease”, literally “to be shook around”) or Arabic نُغَاش (nuḡāš) / نُغَاشِيّ (nuḡāšiyy, “very small, diminutive, miniature; dwarf, pygmy”).
