میگو
Persian
Etymology
From Middle Persian [script needed] (mdk' /ma(y)ik/), from Proto-Iranian *madika, a variant of Proto-Iranian *madaxa (“locust, grasshopper”), and thus related to ملخ (malax); see there for further information.
The second component is from Middle Persian [Term?] (/-ūg/, “-like”).
