From طالغه (dalga, wave) + ـلانمق (-lanmak, suffix forming passive infinitives from stems ending in back vowels).

  2. (intransitive) to become corrugated, wrinkled, or ridged
  3. (intransitive, for silk) to become watered, usually through calendering
