Probably from زَعِلَ (zaʕila, “to prance, to leap up; to behave lively or agilely”). Compare formally the reduplicated Arabic زُغْلُول (zuḡlūl, “agile”) from زَغَلَ (zaḡala, “to pour forth with impetus”).
