Inherited from Prakrit 𑀅𑀘𑁆𑀘𑁂𑀇 (accei), from Sanskrit अत्येति (atyeti, “comes upon, goes; enters”). Cognate with Phalura áača / آچہ, Sindhi اَچَڻُ / अचणु / 𑊰𑋀𑋌𑋣 (acaṇu), Kholosi ačen, Kachchi અચણુ (acaṇu), Vaghri અચ્ચણુ (accaṇu).
