      וַיְהִי שָׁאוּל עוֹיֵן אֶת דָּוִד מֵהַיּוֹם הַהוּא וָהָלְאָה.
      vayhí šaʾúl ʿoyén et davíd mehayyóm hahú vahalʾa.
      And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.
