A Southwestern Iranian borrowing; compare Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (spndrmt' /⁠Spandarmad⁠/, Holy Thought, the fourth Amahraspand, earth goddess), Persian اسفند (esfand), Avestan 𐬯𐬞𐬆𐬧𐬙𐬀 𐬁𐬭𐬨𐬀𐬌𐬙𐬌 (spəṇta ārmaiti, Spenta Armaiti). Doublet of սպանդարամետ (spandaramet).
