չնաշխարհիկ

Armenian

Etymology

Mkrtchyan considers this to be derived from չին աշխարհից (čʻin ašxarhicʻ, from the Chinese world), using immense distance as a way to describe something/someone as exotic. Ačaṙean disputes that and gives the explanation of ոչ (očʻ) + աշխարհ (ašxarh).
