Cognate with Kazakh жалаңаш (jalañaş), Kyrgyz жылаңач (jılaŋaç), Southern Altai јылаҥаш (ǰïlaŋaš, “naked, nude”), Crimean Tatar calanğaş (“naked, barefoot”), Uyghur يالاڭاچ (yala'ngach) / يالاڭغاچ (yalangghach, “bare, naked”), etc.
