Etymology
From Proto-Uralic *jakša (“cool, cold”) (a front-vowel variant of *jäkše- (whence Moksha эше (eše)) + *-ma. Cognates include Erzya якшамо (jakšamo), Estonian jahe, Votic jahtua.
