Possibly derived from Proto-Finno-Ugric *čeŋke (“steam, mist (or) warm”), whence Finnish henki (“breath; soul”), Estonian hing (“soul”), Udmurt ӝог (džog, “heat”), Northern Mansi саӈк (saňk).
