торо
Erzya
Etymology
From earlier *torə. Possibly related to Proto-Uralic *terä (“cutting edge”); compare Finnish terä, Hungarian tőr. Soviet era dictionaries somehow omitted this word, although it appears in earlier ones and is widely presented in folklore.
