In dialects also талдо́нить (taldónitʹ), толдо́нить (toldónitʹ), талды́кать (taldýkatʹ), толды́кать (toldýkatʹ). And he who holds the sermons is called талды́ка (taldýka), толды́ка (toldýka), which can be deemed the origin of the verb, derived from -ка (-ka) or -ыка (-yka) (an uncommon variant of the former seen in влады́ка (vladýka) reanalyzed on pre-Slavic ū-stems), then for the verb -ить (-itʹ).
