Cognate with Old Uyghur [script needed] (silik, “clean; noble”); Tatar сылу (sılu), Kazakh сұлу (sūlu), Kyrgyz сулуу (suluu), Uzbek suluv (“beautiful, handsome”); Khakas сіліг (sìlìg, “beautiful”).
