Etymology
From Proto-Mordvinic *načkə, from Proto-Finno-Ugric *ńačkɜ (“wet, humid, watery, raw”). Akin to Moksha начка (načka), Finnish nahkea (“tacky, sticky”), Lule Sami njuoskas, Eastern Mari ночко (nočko).
