млака

Bulgarian

Etymology

Inherited from Proto-Slavic *molka, cognate with Serbo-Croatian мла̏ка (puddle), Old East Slavic молокита (molokita, marsh). Probably further related to Czech mlkvý (raw).

According to some scholars, possibly akin to Proto-Slavic *melko (milk) (whence native мля́ко (mljáko)).
