From клобук + -ар, from Proto-Slavic *klobukъ, from a Turkic language. Attested as Old Church Slavonic клобᲂучарь (Стрѣзо клобоучарь сь дѣтию) in Stefan Dušan's deed of gift to Hilandar ca. 1300.[1]
