Ozhegov's Dictionary of the Russian Language (Словарь Русского Языка, see https://dic.academic.ru/dic.nsf/ogegova/68314 ) lists four meanings including  “tobacco”. These appear to be 1: “potion (liquid)”, 2: “powder for same purposes as 1”, 3: “tobacco, vodka, etc.” and 4: “malicious, sarcastic person / cunning, perky person”
