From *bezgäk (“fever; malaria”), from Proto-Turkic *bẹŕ- (“to shiver, tremble”).[1]
Cognate with Karakhanid [script needed] (bezgäk, “fever, malaria”);[2] Kazakh безгек (bezgek, “fever, malaria”), Uzbek bezgak (“fever, malaria”).
