πειρητίζω

Ancient Greek

Etymology

Formally from *πειρητής (*peirētḗs) (Epic/Ionic form of πειρᾱτής (peirātḗs, brigand, pirate)), + -ίζω (-ízō). However the semantics do not correlate with the specialized meaning of the noun, as this verb is simply a synonym of πειράω (peiráō).
