κράδη

Ancient Greek

Etymology

Unknown. It is uncertain whether this word is the origin of κραδάω (kradáō, to swing, brandish) or if it is the opposite. Traditionally connected to Latin cardō (hinge, pivot), but this remains hypothetical.
