θύαρος
Ancient Greek
Etymology
The formation is similar to κόμαρος (kómaros) and κίσθαρος (kístharos). The suffix in "-αρος" points to a Pre-Greek word and connection with θύω (thúō, “to rage, seethe”) is a mere guess.
