Etymology
Borrowed from Proto-Anatolian *Lukkawanna (“Lukka's land”), influenced by the Greek personal name Λῠκᾱ́ων (Lukā́ōn). Lukka was a historical region of southwestern Anatolia, probably a native Anatolian name (compare Λυκία (Lukía)).
