A large portion of what people do on the WWW and with their portable communication devices is considered Social Technology, as a quick search for that term on any major web browser will confirm. Facebook is social technology. Aside from the human participants themselves, the Wikiversity is social technology. Much of what makes cellphones and their more advanced descendents fun is social technology. But until this page was added (April 22, 2009) there was no social technology page here at the Wikiversity, and it was not until somewhat earlier in 2009 that there was a Social Technology page in the Wikipedia. There should be a project to develop course material about this, and there should be courses.
