A designer's grid structure is key to the layout of the project. The grid is used to maintain balance, similarity and space throughout a booklet or poster. Guides are used to project the designer's vision. A grid structure should reflect both form and function of the overall design. Grids are also used to provide space for design elements, text boxes or white space.
