< Moses in the Bulrushes

CHRIST in the MANGER.

Where is this stupendous stranger,
Nymphs of Solyma, advise;
Lead me to my master's manger,
Shew me where my Savior lies.

Oh! most mighty, oh! most holy,
Far above the Seraph's thought,
Art thou then so meek and lowly,
As unheeded prophets taught?

Oh! the magnitude of meekness,
Worth from worth immortal sprung:
Oh! the strength of infant weakness,
If eternal is so young.
