Tr. Frederick Oakeley (1802-1880).

Adeste fideles.

OH COME, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
Oh come ye, oh come ye to Bethlehem;
  Come and behold him
  Born the King of angels;
Oh come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.

  God of God,
  Light of Light,
Lo! he abhors not the Virgin's womb;
  Very God,
  Begotten, not created ;
Oh come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.

  Sing, choirs of angels.
  Sing in exultation.
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above:
  'Glory to God
  In the highest';
Oh come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.

  Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
  Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be glory given,
  Word of the Father,
  Now in flesh appearing:
Oh come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.
