Mahapatra, Srikrishna, Rai Saheb (1911), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bengal; belongs to a very old family of Orissa whose members rendered great assistance to the British in the early periods; the site of the British factory built at Hariharpur in 1633 is still possessed by this family; entered Bengal Police, 1893; became Deputy Superintendent, 1908; devoted part of his income to works of public utility.
