MATURITY.

"At life's great feast," they said to me,
"The gods serve out the good wine first;
Look to thy cups, drink heartily,
In early hour assuage thy thirst."

Deeming it then well-spiced, good wine,
To me seems now that early draught
Of vintage human—this divine!
