GEORGE BARKER, Esq
[Post-Captain of 1798.]

This officer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, Mar. 15, 1782; commanded the Incendiary fire-vessel, and assisted at the destruction of a French store-ship off Ushant, Jan. 8, 1797, and obtained post rank June 8, 1799. During the late war he was employed as Regulating Captain at Bristol.
