| In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. | Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi | |
| 092:001 | By the night when it covers. | Waallayli itha yaghsha |
| 092:002 | And the day when it appears. | Waalnnahari itha tajalla |
| 092:003 | And He created the male and female. | Wama khalaqa alththakara waal-ontha |
| 092:004 | Your works are various. | Inna saAAyakum lashatta |
| 092:005 | As for he who gives and is righteous. | Faamma man aAAta waittaqa |
| 092:006 | And trusts in goodness. | Wasaddaqa bialhusna |
| 092:007 | We will make the easy path for him. | Fasanuyassiruhu lilyusra |
| 092:008 | And as for he who is stingy and holds back. | Waamma man bakhila waistaghna |
| 092:009 | And denies goodness. | Wakaththaba bialhusna |
| 092:010 | We will make the difficult path for him. | Fasanuyassiruhu lilAAusra |
| 092:011 | And his wealth will not avail him when he demises. | Wama yughnee AAanhu maluhu itha taradda |
| 092:012 | It is upon Us to guide. | Inna AAalayna lalhuda |
| 092:013 | And to Us is the end and the beginning. | Wa-inna lana lal-akhirata waal-oola |
| 092:014 | I have warned you of a Fire that blazes. | Faanthartukum naran talaththa |
| 092:015 | None shall reach it but the wicked. | La yaslaha illa al-ashqa |
| 092:016 | The one who denies and turns away. | Allathee kaththaba watawalla |
| 092:017 | As for the righteous, he will be spared it. | Wasayujannabuha al-atqa |
| 092:018 | The one who gives his money to develop with. | Allathee yu/tee malahu yatazakka |
| 092:019 | Seeking nothing in return. | Wama li-ahadin AAindahu min niAAmatin tujza |
| 092:020 | Except the face of His Lord, the Most High. | Illa ibtighaa wajhi rabbihi al-aAAla |
| 092:021 | And he will be satisfied. | Walasawfa yarda |
